The enhancement technology behind vReveal
vReveal’s patented video enhancement technology has been adapted from the powerful forensic
tools used by law enforcement and intelligence agencies. This technology is called “super-resolution."

What makes super-resolution technology so special?
Super-resolution technology has the unique ability to increase resolution and to
remove video noise like graininess and pixelation. The techniques behind super-resolution
technology also enable vReveal to provide very effective stabilization for shaky videos.

How does vReveal’s super-resolution technology work?

A video is a series of many, rapid snapshots of a scene. Multiple neighboring frames
of video each provide a slightly different view of the subjects in the scene, collectively
providing a rich amount of information about scene details. vReveal’s powerful super-resolution
algorithms analyze multiple frames to reconstruct a single, enhanced frame with better detail.
The algorithms continue this multi-frame analysis until all of the frames in a video have been
 reconstructed.

In addition, sophisticated motion-tracking across multiple frames powers vReveal’s
 ability to stabilize shaky video.
How does vReveal’s super-resolution technology work
Multi-frame analysis provides the basis for super-resolution technology. Other companies
can claim to have super-resolution, but if the technology doesn’t use information from
multiple frames to reconstruct video, it’s not genuine super-resolution.
