Late today Google announced that its going to enhance the Google applications by providing and extension to Google apps to go to a totally a new platform bye collaborating in one account using Google web services. Already Google docs was providing which provides an alternative to Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint
and the new platform may provide a threat to for Microsoft's new Office 2010 which is released 3 days after
Dennis Troper, product management director of Google Apps explains it best:
"For example, co-workers will be able to publish their organization's blog on Blogger, share project images with Picasa Web Albums, track industry news in Google Reader, advertise online with AdWords and much more, all without switching back and forth between multiple accounts"
But Microsoft is launching its own versions of web based suites called OneNote, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. This web-based edition however only comes in June But this give it enough time to all customers to be familiar with Google versions
