Set Facebook user name

Now everyone may not have an unique account in Facebook what i am saying is that suppose that you have face book account preceded in URL by an id number, How would it be if you wanted to have your name as in that id number
Now you can personalize your Facebook URL by selecting a unique and cool username for your profile. As we all know that by default Facebook URLs are just a series of random numbers. But now you can have a easy username to remember and to provide it to the friends. So Finally Facebook usernames will make it a lot easier for someone to find you on Facebook.

To claim your username / facebook profile URL, all you need to do is just follow the simple steps.

1. Sign into your Facebook account.

2. Go to http://www.facebook.com/username.

3. Now you can see that Facebook will present you with some suggested usernames, or you can make up your own.

4. Create / Select username for you.

When you have chosen, click on Confirm. Now you have your own Facebook username.Share it with your friends. Now your profile can be reached by anyone just by typing facebook.com/your_username, a short enough URL.

If you want to change the username then you can change your username from the Settings tab of the Account Settings page. Scroll down to “Username” and click “change.”
